IT Service Partner

The Leibniz Supercomputing Center of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences is the IT service provider for Munich's universities and colleges. It provides well over 100,000 students, professors and staff with all necessary IT services such as e-mail, Internet, backup and archiving, visualization and, of course, computing capacity from individual server nodes to supercomputers.

The Medical Technology and IT (MIT) department is responsible for managing the procurement of the information technology infrastructure for the University Hospital of Munich.

This is done on behalf of the hospital's board of directors for all facilities of the entire medical faculty of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich. Securing the operation of this infrastructure as well as handling information processing for patient care, research and teaching reflects the core business of the service spectrum.
